About The Position

As the Commercial Fuels Optimizer, you will be part of the Trading & Supply (T&S) organization, which is at the heart of Shell’s Downstream business. The T&S Global Supply and Commercial Fuels team acts as an integrator across Shell, enabling strong end-to-end value delivery. This is achieved by managing the physical supply chain, optimizing product disposition, and creating value through strategic deal-making. Main purpose of the role is to maximize end-to-end enterprise value creation via: Maximizing Trading value, Maximizing Distribution value, and Maximizing standalone Commercial Fuels value. This position is remote location, a virtual role.

Requirements

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
At least 5 years of relevant experience
This position is contingent upon the closing of a deal transaction

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of T&S Commercial Fuels strategy, specifically play an active role in providing local market level Supply/Demand analysis for select inland markets to maximize E2E value of available product
Responsible for supporting rack supply strategy and rack procurement negotiations
Support daily pricing strategies in collaboration with Trading.
Support strategy, specifically play an active role in providing local market level Supply/Demand analysis for select inland markets to maximize E2E value
Lead Commercial Fuels’ pricing activities for rack sales of gasoline, distillates, and low carbon fuels in collaboration w/product trade desks
Lead integrator between Trading, Supply, Distribution and Commercial Fuels rack account managers
Support the Commercial Fuels Account Managers to deliver on their margin targets at a C3 level
Work collaboratively across various Products Trading desks to identify new value levers to maximize margins on current business and grow value growth with new opportunities
