About The Position

The Commercial Flooring Customer Service Representative works in partnership with sales personnel to ensure the highest quality of service to commercial accounts, maximizing efficiency and acceptable profit margins within AFDC guidelines. This role is accountable for the timely delivery of quality flooring products and installation services for assigned clients. The ideal candidate is a customer service-oriented individual with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and self-discipline to support the commercial sales team. Effective communication and the ability to work well with diverse personalities are essential. Critical skills include the ability to read builder specifications, multi-task, maintain accuracy during data entry, data management, mathematical computation, and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • RFMS Background preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction and flooring materials and processes a plus

Responsibilities

  • Export or key quotes into RFMS proprietary software (RFMS Background preferred but not required)
  • Generate purchase orders, work orders and other varied documents to insure on-time delivery
  • Monitor and track orders to meet customer needs and installation schedules
  • Act as liaison between suppliers and sales rep team to ensure everyone is up to date on material statuses to ensure proper communication with end user
  • Communicate effectively with sales rep and QCs (Quality Control) to achieve overall job accuracy, including but not limited to – material procurement, scheduling, installation, QC field management
  • Ensure that all jobs are complete, correct, and formatted consistently to meet the need of the end users
  • Maintain job’s profit margin by requesting and inputting proper project information and/or documentation (i.e., Change Orders, Material Claims, etc.)
  • Identify, research, and resolve customer issues
  • Other duties as assigned
