About The Position

Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Contract Sales Representative for its Ocoee branch. The role is primarily responsible for selling new construction projects, meeting sales quotas, and achieving gross profit margins. This position involves preparing accurate new construction proposals, tracking them according to company practices, and following up with customers in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Fire Sprinkler Systems including NFPA 13D, 13R, 13, 14, and 20.
  • 3 - 5 years of fire sprinkler experience is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication skills with a professional presence to engage and impress customers and prospects.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proven networking ability and business development skills to generate new opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think quickly, adapt, and build strong connections with diverse customers.
  • Collaborative team player who performs well under pressure, meets deadlines, and consistently achieves or exceeds sales and profit goals.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • PowerPoint experience preferred.
  • Strong follow-up skills and commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Valid driver’s license meeting company driving eligibility standards.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening, including 10 years of employment verification is required to be hired at Wayne Automatic.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate proposals for new construction projects and follow up with customers to answer questions.
  • Update and utilize WAFS ERP to maintain customer profiles, sites/properties, opportunities, quotes, reports, and activities.
  • Track and manage opportunities in ERP from start to finish; submit required project paperwork and documents.
  • Meet or exceed company sales quotas and profit margin goals.
  • Build strong, multi-level customer relationships.
  • Schedule regular appointments with customers to review services, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with other WAFS Sales Reps.
  • Conduct Lunch & Learn sessions and other presentations to generate additional business.
  • Attend networking events and participate in associations/committees to build connections and obtain new business.
  • Provide management with regular updates on market conditions, customer objections, service concerns, and competitive challenges.
  • Work with management to review capture rates and adjust strategies.
  • Collaborate with WAFS General Counsel on contract reviews, clarifying scope, exclusions, and legal terms.
  • Represent WAFS professionally through approved customer entertainment and relationship-building.
  • Enhance knowledge of WAFS products, services, and procedures by attending training and department meetings.
  • Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, and positive relationships with both external customers and internal team members.
  • Communicate and assist colleagues as needed to quote jobs and answer questions.
  • Submit all required reports accurately and on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
