Job Summary: Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with end users, owners, contractors, engineers with the prime objective of negotiating and closing of quality fire sprinkler projects. Must understand the sales cycle, maintain a pipeline, and forecast correctly. Duties include estimating and quoting Fire Sprinkler systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. This position requires a team player with a positive, professional attitude and demeanor. Establish contact and qualify prospects. Schedule sales calls and follow up on leads. Prepare proposals and financial justifications for bids.

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical, business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years fire sprinkler Sales or Project Management experience, including estimating, material listing and performing hydraulic calculations required
  • Must exhibit excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills
  • Technical knowledge of sprinkler systems with NICET Certification or equivalent experience in the field of Automatic Sprinkler Layout preferred
  • Familiar with reading blueprints, understanding current NFPA 13 standards and local codes
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and as a team player
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task, organize work and manage sales territory
  • Proficient with computer/applications software and internet tools
  • Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Certification or equivalent experience in the field of Automatic Sprinkler Layout preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customer sales strategies necessary for efficient sales
  • Conducts site surveys to identify potential customers of a product/service
  • Interact with clients to identify their needs and product specifications
  • Offer clients products which are capable of meeting their requirements
  • Follow the correct estimating and proposal procedures
  • Collaborate with the District Manager on key account strategies
