Commercial Finance Professionals at Eaton collaborate with Sales & Marketing and Engineering R&D to drive profitable growth by leading revenue planning and product optimization. They focus on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, assessing financial performance, identifying trends, and providing insights to optimize profitability and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role involves close collaboration with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute revenue strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in finance roles in large matrixed organizations
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of an existing Eaton facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • Skilled in interpreting and presenting complex data for actionable insights
  • Ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise with financial analysis tools and systems
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
  • Experience leading and developing global teams in a matrixed organization

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and oversee profitability management projects, analyzing various revenue streams to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Utilize data to build business cases and provide proactive recommendations, influencing cross-functional teams, building consensus around actions to improve growth and profitability across customers and product lines.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams leading finance input into SIOP process and translating SIOP output into the financial forecast.
  • Enable more agile decision-making by using data to provide forward-looking insights and action-oriented recommendations to business leaders.
  • Lead product optimization initiatives through rigorous financial analysis and market research to identify growth and improvement areas.
  • Perform comprehensive sales and incentives analysis to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of incentive programs, and ensure high level of forecast accuracy of gross-to-net sales impacts.
  • Provide strategic advice on pricing strategies based on market trends, cost structures, and the competitive landscape.
  • Deliver monthly forecast of sales through standard profit working in lockstep with plant, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure high level of fidelity in forecast.
  • Examine deals and contracts to assess their financial implications and offer recommendations for optimal outcomes.
