About The Position

As a Commercial Finance Funding Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a team of approximately 20 colleagues to review, document, and fund more complex finance transactions for our FA&O and CT&I lines. The goal is to meet customer expectations through accurate and timely processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent business experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge and proficiency in leasing/financial service products, preferably middle-ticket structured transactions, documentation; including UCC Financing Statements and UCC search analysis
  • Strong verbal, written, and inter-personal skills
  • Demonstrated success in current and former positions
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, while exercising good judgment and willingness to make decisions and problem solve
  • Ability to overcome objections and develop sound relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across teams and influence decisions outside of traditional span of control
  • Time management and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

  • Review lease documentation to ensure legal enforceability and adherence to company policies.
  • Ensure the company’s security interests in the equipment have been established.
  • Execute documents on behalf of the company.
  • Enter transactions into the appropriate systems for booking, funding, tracking, and invoicing purposes.
  • Ensure the information entered is in conformance to program requirements, company policies, and pricing and profitability parameters.
  • Perform pre- and post-booking transaction audits of the work of co-workers authority, as well as the work of cross-functional members impacting the final approval.
  • Record results and provide details regarding individual accuracy for training and development purposes.
  • Interface cross-functionally with areas such as Credit, Legal, Account Management, and Processing to resolve pre- and post-booking transactional, customer, and partner issues.
  • Contribute to department efficiencies by identifying opportunities for improvement, offering ideas, and participating in projects to develop and implement solutions.
  • Contribute to ongoing policy and procedure review and development.
  • Provide intra and inter-departmental training members as needed.
  • Take initiative to seek and participate in formal and informal training opportunities to enhance your knowledge and value to the company.
