About The Position

Skillforce is hiring Commercial Electricians for ongoing commercial projects in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves installing and finishing electrical systems on commercial jobs. Candidates should have at least three years of commercial electrical experience and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The position is W-2 employment with weekly pay, and offers immediate openings on ongoing projects. The schedule is Monday through Friday on a morning shift, during daytime hours, with weekends free. Pay is $27.00 to $32.00 per hour, based on commercial electrical experience.

Requirements

At least three years of commercial electrical experience.
Ability to run work independently with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical prints.
Hands-on experience bending conduit and terminating panels on commercial jobs.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience in commercial new construction or tenant fit-outs is welcome.

Responsibilities

Bend and install EMT conduit and run MC cable for commercial power and lighting circuits.
Pull, terminate, and label wire in panels, junction boxes, and devices.
Set boxes, supports, and hangers so conduit runs are neat, straight, and up to code.
Read blueprints and electrical drawings to lay out and complete work independently.
Install and connect panelboards, disconnects, light fixtures, switches, and receptacles.
Test circuits and troubleshoot problems so systems are ready for inspection.
Coordinate with the foreman and other trades to keep the job on schedule.
Follow jobsite safety and lockout and tagout procedures, and keep the work area clean.
