About The Position

The Commercial Electrical Estimator will gather and analyze financial data to estimate and allocate costs for a current or proposed product. This role involves collaborating with clients, engineers, and other staff to understand products being developed, reviewing and analyzing existing and proposed processes, staff, and materials to identify cost-reduction opportunities, and determining needs for additional staff, machinery, materials, and other resources. The estimator will also estimate costs of new equipment or capital investment, draft cost estimates for projects, prepare reports forecasting production scenarios, and identify the pricing structure required for products to sell at profit.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of cost accounting principles.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to create forecasts based on financial data.
Proficient with accounting software and cost software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Two years of experience as a Commercial Electrical Estimator.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
