Pay Range: $115,900.00 - $190,450.00 About the role We are seeking a driven Manager, Commercial Effectiveness to support our global sales teams across EMEA and North America. This role is crucial in executing our commercial operations strategy by focusing on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and sales analytics. You will ensure our sales organisation has clean, reliable CRM data and impactful reporting to drive informed decision-making and improved sales productivity. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help implement enhancements to our CRM systems and sales processes, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and purpose-driven culture aligned with Bio-Techne’s mission.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales analytics, or similar commercial operations roles (preferably in life sciences, biotech, or related industries)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Data Analytics, Life Sciences or related fields. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems (especially Salesforce.com) and managing CRM or sales process improvement projects.
  • Experience creating dashboards or working with business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of sales processes, CRM best practices, and pipeline metrics.
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to data quality and governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a global, matrixed organization, working with diverse teams to drive projects forward.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects and influence without authority.
  • Adaptability and continuous improvement orientation, with a customer-first mindset and willingness to innovate in processes and tools to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • English Language Required. Additional Languages preferred.
  • Travel required. 10%

Responsibilities

  • Maintain CRM data integrity and accuracy across global commercial teams, ensuring high-quality, reliable data in our sales systems.
  • Generate dashboards, KPI reports, and ad-hoc sales analyses to provide actionable insights on pipeline health, sales performance, and key trends.
  • Track sales process performance (e.g. pipeline progression, opportunity conversion rates, sales cycle time) and identify areas for improvement to enhance sales productivity.
  • Analyze sales data to provide insights for territory, process, and performance optimization, helping teams make data-driven decisions to drive growth
  • Document and manage business requirements for CRM enhancements. Work with the IT/CX CRM team to configure and test new CRM functionalities that support commercial needs.
  • Standardize and maintain sales process documentation and workflows.
  • Support the rollout, user adoption, and training for new CRM features and sales process improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, the Customer Experience (CX) CRM team, Marketing, and other stakeholders to align CRM tools and analytics initiatives with business objectives
  • Manage and develop a small Commercial Effectiveness team, providing guidance, setting clear objectives, and fostering a high-performance, innovative and collaborative team culture.
