About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects. This role is responsible for managing the estimating process from initial plan review through final proposal, with a focus on drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and commercial flooring. The ideal candidate has experience performing quantity takeoffs, reviewing project documents, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and developing detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage multiple bids, work independently, and consistently deliver accurate pricing.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction trades.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Experience performing accurate quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Proficiency with construction estimating or project management software preferred.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Commercial interior construction experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and competitive estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and flooring projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and value engineering opportunities during the estimating process.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation for submission.
• Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, vendors, and clients throughout the bidding process.
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation using estimating or project management software.
• Support project handoffs by providing estimating details and scope clarification to project teams.
