Commercial Driver – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service and automotive parts support. As a Commercial Driver, you’ll use safe driving skills to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers in company-provided vehicles; a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required. The role supports store operations and customer relationships, with career stability and growth opportunities in an essential industry. The position includes engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear automotive advice and offering installation services. Drivers coordinate with store personnel and commercial accounts, complete deliveries according to time and accuracy goals, handle returns and pickups, process payments, follow safety policies, and maintain delivery vehicles.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
- Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to support team collaboration and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations, meeting time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues.
