About The Position

Commercial Door & Hardware Estimator / CSR will be working directly with customers, inside & outside sales to provide accurate / on-time quotes and orders to our valued customers.

Requirements

  • General computer knowledge required, including use of internet and email, MS Office.
  • Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, division, multiplying, adding, subtracting)
  • Keyboarding skills
  • Ability to use a calculator, able to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to articulate clearly
  • Ability to use a multi-line phone system, occasional out-bound calling

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years customer service experience and or millwork experience (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Receiving quotes through e-mail and over the phone.
  • Working with customers during the estimation process, to ensure accuracy and alignment with their requests.
  • Estimating commercial doors, commercial frames, and hardware with our quoting program.
  • Candidates should understand various fire labeling requirements based on building codes and occupancy requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and refine estimates.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all project-related information.
  • Double checking / proofing quotes & releasing them into orders.
  • Follow-up with orders directly with our customers – Such as lead-time changes, back-orders, customer changes, etc.
  • Resolve customer complaints by researching the order history and taking this position of incorrect products or services.
  • Follow up to ensure that appropriate changes are made to resolve customer’s problems.
  • Solicit sale of new or additional services or products including upselling and add-on selling.
  • Conduct all activities in a safe manner adhering to company safety standards
  • Continuously work towards a “one team” concept with outside sales representatives
  • Actively participate in departmental goal setting and go achievement.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Work well with outside sales representatives.
  • Provide stellar customer service and exceed the customer's expectations.
