About The Position

The Data Team Software Engineer designs, develops, deploys, and supports software solutions that enable TARGAN's products, data platforms, and business operations. This role develops cloud-based applications, APIs, integrations, and deployment pipelines while following modern software engineering practices. The position works across Azure cloud services, containerized applications, databases, messaging platforms, and DevOps tooling. Success in this role requires strong technical proficiency, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate takes ownership of deliverables, approaches problems with a structured and analytical mindset, maintains high standards for quality and documentation, and consistently contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications.
  • Proficiency with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
  • Experience with source control, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
  • Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell and/or Bash.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience (for Software Engineer II).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently deliver assigned projects with minimal supervision (for Software Engineer II).
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience (for Software Engineer III).
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and delivering solutions from concept through deployment (for Software Engineer III).
  • Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers (for Software Engineer III).
  • Proven ability to make sound technical decisions with limited oversight (for Software Engineer III).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
