About The Position

This position plays an integral role on the Commercial Banking Relationship Team. The individual will work directly with Bankers, other Underwriters, and Credit Officers to analyze and monitor commercial credit opportunities. The successful candidate will gather information and perform research in order to identify, quantify, and mitigate underwriting risk inherent in a commercial lending function. The candidate is expected to develop strong working relationships with internal teammates, credit officers, and other bankers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degrees in Finance, Accounting or related field is required.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers about the financial institution’s loan programs and policies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and Office 365.

Nice To Haves

• 0 – 2 years of experience in credit analysis or lending is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes individual company performance and the impact of industry and competitive dynamics and macroeconomic events on the creditworthiness of clients and prospects through: Spreading annual and interim financial statements of companies, Spreading annual personal financial statements and personal tax returns of owners/guarantors, Industry research.
• Assists Commercial and Senior Commercial Underwriters.
• Completes ongoing periodic credit servicing of loans within the portfolio including spreading and analyzing financial statements and verifying ratio tests.
• Provides support for the Bank’s sales efforts which may include selling and promoting Bank’s services, as opportunities arise.
• Participates in the financial institution’s community activities.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.
