About The Position

We are seeking a Credit Analyst who will analyze personal and business financials, create comprehensive loan approval packages, make recommendations to senior management and credit committees, monitor loan portfolio performance, and support reporting that helps guide sound lending decisions. This role involves analyzing financial documents, evaluating credit requests, preparing detailed loan approval packages, monitoring the existing loan portfolio, assisting with due diligence for audits and exams, and maintaining loan databases and reporting tools. The ideal candidate will champion the bank's mission, stay informed of regulatory requirements, and help prevent fraudulent activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance.
  • Prior banking experience preferred.
  • Experience analyzing financial documents and reports.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing with the ability to interact effectively across customers, employees, and management.
  • Experience Microsoft Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze personal and business financials for potential and existing loan customers.
  • Evaluate financial documents, reports, causalities, and scenarios with strong logic, context, and attention to detail.
  • Apply sound mathematical, analytical, and big-picture thinking to support lending recommendations.
  • Create comprehensive loan approval packages that clearly summarize credit analysis and recommendations.
  • Identify policy exceptions and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and organized.
  • Present recommendations to senior management and credit committees with clarity and professionalism.
  • Perform required monitoring of existing loan portfolio performance.
  • Assist in the due diligence process for audits and exams.
  • Handle customer, employee, and management interactions effectively and tactfully.
  • Maintain various loan-related databases with accuracy and consistency.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and Power BI to create, update, and analyze loan reports.
  • Complete assignments with limited oversight while exercising sound judgment on when to ask questions or escalate.
  • Adopt a commitment to environmental, social, economic, and racial justice.
  • Stay informed of applicable regulatory requirements and complete all mandatory compliance and IT training.
  • Pursue and demonstrate an understanding of established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
