About The Position
iManage is seeking a Commercial Counsel (Technology & Procurement) to lead the legal workstream for technology and procurement transactions. This high-impact role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of vendor and technology agreements—including software, cloud infrastructure, AI tooling, data, and professional services—ensuring iManage acquires technology efficiently while managing legal, privacy, security, and data risks. The Commercial Counsel partners closely with procurement, finance, engineering, security, product, and privacy teams to negotiate vendor agreements, apply established risk positions, and build scalable legal playbooks and self-service resources. The role requires strong commercial judgment, practical execution, and the ability to independently manage a diverse contracting pipeline.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) with active bar membership
- 3–5 years of commercial legal experience focused on technology procurement or buy-side transactions
- Experience negotiating AI, SaaS, cloud, and data agreements from the buyer’s perspective
- Ability to manage multiple agreements concurrently
- Ability to translate legal requirements into practical business guidance
