About The Position

Join Our Team as an Attorney at Axiom. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Counsel to join our Commercial Contracts team. In this role, you will partner with leading organizations to negotiate complex commercial agreements, streamline legal operations, and support strategic business initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with business leaders, compliance teams, and legal stakeholders while advising on innovative technology, digital products, and AI-related initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of in-house commercial contracts experience (10+ years preferred).
  • Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong background supporting technology transactions, including SaaS agreements and data processing agreements.
  • Experience managing the full contract lifecycle from intake through execution.
  • Ability to balance legal risk with practical business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law preferred.
  • Must be open to onsite in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, data processing agreements (DPAs), and online terms and conditions.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle from initial intake through negotiation, execution, and post-signature support.
  • Partner cross-functionally with business, compliance, privacy, procurement, and operational teams to facilitate efficient deal execution and mitigate legal risk.
  • Support legal operations initiatives, including outside counsel management, contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems, vendor onboarding, and process improvements.
  • Advise business stakeholders on commercial, legal, and regulatory risks using a practical, business-focused approach.
  • Assist with strategic initiatives involving digital products, hardware, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Help drive the integration and optimization of legal processes across evolving business operations.
