About The Position

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site project activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a Superintendent with strong commercial construction experience who can perform daily construction tasks as needed while leading field operations. The Superintendent oversees subcontractors, coordinates with internal teams, and maintains clear communication with all project stakeholders. This position plays a key role in driving projects forward and ensuring all work is completed with exceptional quality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience performing material takeoffs and coordinating field resources.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and motivate teams.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within a 4-hour radius of Jacksonville (home on weekends).
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Ability to complete and maintain daily reports, logs, and field documentation.
  • A valid, clean driving record and successful completion of a background check/ drug screen are required.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Experience with ground-up construction and interior renovations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations from project start through completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and material deliveries.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company procedures.
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to avoid delays.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports, schedules, and field records.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Address client questions and requests professionally and promptly.
  • Foster a positive jobsite culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and quality.
