Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in Newark, DE is seeking to hire a full-time Commercial Construction Recruiter to attract, screen, select, and onboard highly qualified personnel to support growth for our company. This position is highly visible and will require some travel to Southern Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED minimum
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ recruiting experience, preferably in construction, mechanical contracting, or skilled trades environments.
  • Familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR databases, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
  • Basic understanding of commercial construction jobsite operations and labor classifications.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law and workforce compliance requirements.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler, Pipefitting, and Sheetmetal trades preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Field Recruiting Support - Develop creative, strategic, recruitment plans using social media campaigns, professional and college based recruiting sites and events, advanced internet techniques and networking with internal and external resources.
  • Attract, screen, select, and onboard highly qualified personnel to support growth for our company.
