We are hiring a Commercial Construction Project Manager for a 100% employee-owned construction firm with one of the strongest growth trajectories in the industry. This Florida-based role covers projects in Melbourne and St. Petersburg, with compensation ranging from $80,000–$200,000 depending on experience and project performance. You will carry full responsibility for field management, budget, schedule, quality control, and team development on commercial projects spanning healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of proven Project Manager experience in commercial construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and subcontractor teams
  • Comfortable working across multiple project sites

Responsibilities

  • Establish overall project logistics and team goals
  • Develop pre-construction RFP packages
  • Conduct project and coordination meetings
  • Build and manage project schedules; set and track milestones
  • Manage and develop project staff
  • Complete job processes including RFIs, submittments, change orders, and pay applications
  • Ensure proper document control, filing, updating, and distribution
  • Perform scheduling updates and enforce quality control standards
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to site
  • Issue subcontractor contracts and purchase orders
  • Approve pay applications and manage the closeout process
  • Ensure fair and professional treatment of subcontractors
  • Lead project buy-out and scope development through subcontract award
  • Negotiate subcontract change orders; input and manage the project budget
  • Ensure required insurance documentation is on file
  • Complete monthly cost reporting and exposure analysis
