Commercial Construction Project Manager - Dallas, TX
About The Position
Join an established commercial construction team in Dallas, TX where leadership, accountability, and integrity drive every project. This is an opportunity to manage high-quality commercial Tenant Improvement projects while working with a leadership group that values long-term careers, strong client relationships, and exceptional project execution. All projects are located within the Dallas metro area — no long-term travel required. We’re seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager with a strong background in Tenant Improvements, commercial renovations, build-outs, and interior construction. You'll lead commercial projects ranging from $3M to $50M, taking full ownership from preconstruction through closeout and working closely with Superintendents, Estimators, executives, owners, architects, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. This position is ideal for a Project Manager who understands the unique demands of fast-paced TI construction, is organized and decisive, and can successfully manage multiple projects while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-charge Project Management experience with a Commercial General Contractor
- Significant experience managing commercial Tenant Improvement, renovation, build-out, or interior construction projects
- Experience taking commercial projects from preconstruction through final turnover
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, estimating, buyout, and cost control
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong owner, architect, subcontractor, and client-facing communication skills
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Solid knowledge of construction administration, safety standards, and local building requirements
Nice To Haves
- Established experience delivering Tenant Improvement projects throughout the Dallas metro area
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, and Microsoft Office
- Experience across multiple commercial TI sectors, including office, retail, medical, hospitality, industrial, and other commercial environments
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple commercial Tenant Improvement and renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality across all phases of construction
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, property management teams, and internal operations
- Develop and maintain project schedules; identify critical-path items and proactively mitigate risk
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project scopes
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, schedule, and safety
- Manage project budgets, cost reporting, change orders, forecasting, and financial controls
- Lead subcontractor buyout, scope review, procurement, and trade coordination
- Manage the accelerated schedules and changing requirements common to commercial TI projects
- Champion jobsite safety and ensure OSHA and company compliance
- Mentor and support project teams
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Oversee punch lists, closeout, turnover, and final client satisfaction
- Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed
