About The Position

W.B. Guimarin is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our team as Commercial Construction Plumbing Apprentices. This is an opportunity to learn a skilled trade while working alongside experienced plumbers on commercial construction projects throughout South Carolina. Whether you have some construction experience or are looking to start a career in the trades, we're looking for people who are willing to learn, work hard, and take pride in doing the job right. As a Plumbing Apprentice, you'll receive hands-on training while working under the direction of experienced plumbers and foremen. Our goal is to help you develop proficiency in the skills and tasks required to become a successful commercial plumber. You'll also learn how to safely use and maintain the tools and equipment of the plumbing trade, properly handle and organize materials, maintain a clean and productive work area, and work effectively as part of a commercial construction team. This is more than an entry-level construction position. It's an opportunity to develop the technical skills, knowledge, and experience needed for a long-term career in commercial plumbing. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old
Have a strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Be interested in learning and developing a career in the commercial plumbing trade
Be willing to learn new skills and accept instruction and feedback
Follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
Be comfortable working in an active commercial construction environment
Be able to perform the physical duties associated with construction work, with or without reasonable accommodation
Be committed to following company and jobsite safety requirements
Have reliable transportation to assigned jobsites
Be willing to travel to jobsites as required

Nice To Haves

Previous plumbing, mechanical, construction, or trade-school experience is a plus, but not required.
Some construction experience
