About The Position

Magma Core Solutions (MCS) is seeking Commercial Construction Foremen to build indoor play oases for Lava Island. This role involves hands-on construction work from the initial demolition of a leased space to the final build-out of a park ready for opening. The work is varied, involving multiple trades, and offers the opportunity to build spaces that create lasting family memories. Requirements

• Multi-trade construction experience.
• Comfort and capability across drywall, paint, tile, flooring, light framing, trim, and general finish work.
• Prior foreman, lead carpenter, or strong journeyman experience.
• Ability to work independently on site while maintaining close contact with the Superintendent and MCS team via phone.
• Sound judgment regarding escalation of issues.
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Possession of equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklift), or willingness to obtain them.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and move for extended periods on an active construction site.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Tenant improvement (TI) experience in retail or interior build-out.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English).

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on labor including drywall, patching, paint, tile and flooring, light framing, trim, fixtures, and general finish work.
• Handle demolition of existing spaces to prepare for new builds.
• Prepare areas for specialty subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, tile, flooring) to ensure efficient workflow.
• Coordinate on-site with the APS team during playground and trampoline attraction installations.
• Monitor work on site, identify deviations from specifications or shortcuts taken by trades, and report to the Superintendent.
• Provide site coverage when the Superintendent is off-site.
• Protect completed work, maintain site cleanliness, and address punch list items.
• Model and enforce safe work practices among trades.
