About The Position

As our Commercial Construction Estimator, you are the heartbeat of our operations-crafting aggressive, accurate bids that win business and build lasting client trust. Each day, you will lead the bid process with precision and insight, preparing detailed civil and site work estimates, quantity takeoffs, and assembling comprehensive bid proposals. You will liaise closely with the Senior Estimator, VP of Preconstruction, and project teams to communicate progress, resolve issues proactively, and keep everyone aligned. You will attend pre-bid and project walkthrough meetings, contributing to strategic presentations that secure new opportunities. You will build and nurture strong subcontractor and vendor relationships by soliciting bids, reviewing scopes, and managing all project communications professionally. You will collaborate with leadership on multiple projects of varying size and complexity, driving competitive pricing while maintaining quality and client satisfaction. You will uphold our core values and focus by fostering healthy team dynamics, embracing ownership, and delivering construction excellence through authentic relationships. You will act as a problem solver, effectively addressing conflicts and ensuring the leadership team remains cohesive and focused. You will support operations as needed, backing up colleagues and maintaining an organized proposal tracking system to follow up on all bids and proposals. Your estimating expertise directly shapes the company's growth and reputation-a true "Right Person, Right Seat" position.

Requirements

2+ years of knowledge in how to build commercial buildings and what it costs to do so for a large-scale professional commercial construction environment
Strong accountability and problem-solving skills
Exceptional relationship-building capabilities
Attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities to dissect bid proposals
Tech-savviness, particularly proficiency in 365 suite applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, and MS Teams

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D takeoff software to help prepare presentations for bids
Experience in using BuildingConnected or similar tools/software
Experience with EOS Worldwide
Experience in Jonas Premier cloud-based software for project management and Building Connected cloud-based software for estimating
