Riverbend is seeking a Commercial Closing Agent to join our team. You'll work with experienced professionals on sophisticated nationwide transactions—including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and multi-site portfolios—serving developers, lenders, investors, and law firms. As a Commercial Closing Agent, you will serve as the central point of coordination for each transaction, ensuring that every closing is executed with precision, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to client service.

Requirements

A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in commercial real estate transactions, including direct experience with title insurance, escrow, or commercial closings.
High school diploma or GED equivalent (Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, paralegal studies, or a related field preferred).
Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with title production software (e.g., SoftPro, RamQuest, or similar platforms) is a plus.
Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills, with the demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume pipeline of concurrent transactions under deadline pressure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused demeanor.
High attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy, compliance, and quality.
Ability to occasionally lift up to fifteen (15) pounds.

Nice To Haves

ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Experience working with national title underwriters and familiarity with ALTA best practices and compliance standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all aspects of commercial real estate closings, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, attorneys, lenders, surveyors, and other transaction parties throughout the closing process.
Prepare, review, and issue title insurance commitments, endorsements, policies, and related title products in accordance with applicable underwriting guidelines and requirements.
Draft and assemble closing documents, including settlement statements, escrow instructions, transfer documents, and ancillary closing deliverables.
Obtain and maintain title underwriter approvals for complex title matters, exceptions, and non-standard endorsement requests, ensuring full compliance with underwriter standards and risk tolerances.
Coordinate the receipt, disbursement, and reconciliation of escrow and settlement funds in strict accordance with escrow instructions and applicable regulatory requirements.
Communicate proactively and professionally with all transaction stakeholders via email, telephone, and in-person meetings, providing timely status updates and resolving issues as they arise.
Maintain well-organized physical and electronic transaction files in accordance with company recordkeeping policies and procedures.
Prepare correspondence, reports, and other supporting materials as needed to facilitate closings and support team objectives.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Riverbend team.
