About The Position

As a CBRE Custodian, you will perform basic cleaning duties to ensure the cleanliness of client and company buildings. The role is part of the Cleaning Services function and provides daily cleaning support to designated building areas under close supervision and guidance. Work follows established procedures, processes, and company standards, with limited opportunity to exercise discretion. The position requires meeting physical demands, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting or carrying loads of 50 pounds or more. Candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person due to federal contract compliance requirements. The workplace is drug-free, and pre-employment substance abuse testing is performed. The minimum pay rate is $15.00. The position may be eligible for competitive benefits, including medical, well-being, financial planning, and short-term incentive benefits.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Up to 2 years of job-related experience.
Must qualify as a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or an individual granted refugee status or asylum in the United States.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting or carrying loads of 50 pounds or more.
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic areas.
Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and soap.
Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
Complete a detailed cleaning checklist for each designated area.
Follow standardized cleaning processes and company standards.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
Follow basic work routines and standards, using established procedures to address straightforward problems.
Deliver assigned work by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
