About The Position

Paul Davis Restoration, Inc. is a national franchise organization that provides property damage emergency services, restoration and reconstruction services for residential and commercial properties due to water, fire, mold, storm and other disasters. The Carpenter is primarily responsible for completing residential and commercial repair jobs that are assigned by the Project Managers of the reconstruction department.

Requirements

Must be in possession of personal Tools
Knowledge of finish carpentry, framing, structural work, drywall, and trim carpentry
Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad)
Communication skills via phone and face to face
Math skills in order to accurately measure materials and budget materials within estimates
Mechanical skills to work with various tools and machines
Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, TSheets
Ability to work safely with hand and power tools
Ability to maintain an acceptable Background Check and Motor Vehicle Record Check
High School Diploma or GED required
2 plus years’ experience in the construction/repair industry as a Tradesman/Carpenter

Nice To Haves

2 plus years’ experience in finish carpentry work
Experience with roofing

Responsibilities

Complete assigned repair jobs for residential and commercial properties via a work order generated by Project Manager
Communicate job progress with Estimators, Project Directors, Production Manager and/or Coordinators
Complete measurements and calculate size and amount of material needed on assigned jobs
Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials on assigned jobs
Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
Complete drywall projects
Clean up assigned job sites; may be doing a days’ worth of work on different job sites
May be traveling to more than one job site per day
Check work throughout the project to ensure it is up to code and specifications
Responsible for recording your time and coding it to the appropriate jobs
