About The Position

Signature Labor Services is hiring Commercial Carpenters for commercial and industrial construction projects in La Grange, Kentucky. The position offers pay of $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience, weekly pay, and benefits. Applicants from Louisville, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Shelbyville, New Albany, and surrounding areas are welcome. Employees must provide and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, work boots, safety vest, safety glasses, and work gloves. Employment is subject to compliance with the Substance Abuse Prevention Policy and may be conditioned on passing a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen. Applicants must pass required background checks.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in commercial construction.
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner under minimal supervision.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to complete physical assignments for a full shift and work all hours assigned.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Must pass a drug screen and required background checks.
Must have proper personal protective equipment: hard hat, work boots, safety vest, safety glasses, and work gloves.

Responsibilities

Perform framing, installation, and general commercial carpentry work.
Read and interpret project specifications.
Measure, cut, and install materials accurately.
Build and install walls, doors, ceilings, fixtures, and other structures.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Assist with layout and preparation of construction areas.
Complete tasks as assigned by the site supervisor in a timely manner and under minimal supervision.
Follow verbal and written instructions and complete assignments involving physical activity for a full shift.
Work all hours assigned.
