About The Position
Signature Labor Services is hiring experienced Commercial Carpenters for projects in Parker, South Dakota and surrounding areas, including Sioux Falls, Harrisburg, Tea, Canton, and Hartford. We’re looking for dependable carpenters with hands-on commercial construction experience who can work safely, efficiently, and as part of a professional jobsite team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of commercial carpentry experience
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
- Must have basic hand tools
- Reliable transportation to the jobsite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial construction environment
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work well with a team
- All employees must have the required PPE, including: Hard hat, Work boots, Safety vest, Safety glasses, Work gloves
- All SLS employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment.
- Offers of employment may be conditioned upon successfully completing a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry on commercial construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Layout, measure, cut, and install materials accurately
- Install framing, doors, windows, trim, blocking, and other structural components
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Assist with material handling and general jobsite tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
- Work effectively with foremen, supervisors, and other trades
