About The Position

ROXBOX is seeking a Commercial Carpenter to help complete our custom modular construction projects after the primary steel work is finished. You'll work alongside our Production team in our Houston facility to complete the final construction, finishing, and cleanup work necessary to get each project ready for delivery to the client. This role involves turning steel structures into game-changing spaces by completing finish work on custom modular buildings and shipping containers, performing carpentry and general construction work, installing flooring, trim, fixtures, and other finish materials, completing drywall installation, patching, and finishing, and painting, caulking, sealing, and completing final touch-ups. You will also assist with final detailing and quality corrections before projects leave the shop, clean and prepare completed containers for client delivery, and wrap and protect finished containers for transportation. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized shop and work area, operating a forklift when qualified and needed, and jumping between different tasks and trades depending on project needs. You will work with the Production team to meet deadlines and get projects completed and out the door.

Requirements

Must be able to safely lift and carry 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
Must be able to stand, bend, lift, climb, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in construction, carpentry, finishing, remodeling, manufacturing, or a related hands-on trade preferred.
Experience with painting, caulking, flooring, drywall, carpentry, or general finish work is a plus.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Willing to do whatever work is needed to finish the project and get it out the door.
Comfortable working across multiple trades rather than focusing on one specific type of work.

Responsibilities
