We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Commercial Business Analyst to support the review, interpretation, and coordination of commercial agreements, RFPs, pricing requests, renewals, and related documentation. In this role, you'll assess financial and contractual impact, identify potential risks, and provide clear, well-supported recommendations to inform sound business decisions. Partnering closely with legal, finance, operations, and customer-facing teams, you'll apply your expertise in contract and pricing administration to drive results. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare or related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Four (4) years of experience in business/systems analysis work.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with changing needs and deadlines.
  • Excellent human relations skills and the ability to effectively interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and outside professionals.
  • Ability to think strategically; and ability to collaborate within a cross-functional environment.
  • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects and work independently
  • Demonstrated knowledge with content and structure of legal contracts
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect operations by keeping a high degree of confidentiality on all sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of business and contract law relating to healthcare or clinical laboratory issues.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, and coordinates commercial contracts, RFPs, or other related documents for execution by appropriate company leader and in coordination with the Company’s legal team.
  • Resolves contract issues by reviewing and interpreting contract terms and originating contract documentation.
  • Creates approved templates for submission to clients.
  • Verifies intent of proposed contract and ensures contract initiatives are fulfilled in accordance with internal and external expectations.
  • Assesses the financial impact of potential and ongoing contracts by building models and performing analysis to measure sound financial returns and other impact metrics.
  • Reviews proposed changes and forecasts risk and effectively communicates financial impact to key stakeholders in order to guide data-based decision making and offer options.
  • Facilitates and collaborates with appropriate departments and teams to develop a strategy to implement initiatives agreed to, including setting up metrics to evaluate performance.
  • Ensures executed contracts are tracked and stored in accordance with company policies.
  • Conducts periodic audits in conjunction with other relevant departments to ensure services being provided to clients are in alignment with contracts in place (IOPs, logistics services, etc.).
  • Coordinates the renewal process with applicable departments to extend, expand and renew expiring agreements across the Customer Organization.
  • Collaborates with the appropriate subject matter experts to ensure compliance with current laws, regulations, and internal standards and is the point of contact for ongoing questions and serve as the department representative for any special projects and initiatives involving commercial and innovation contract administration.
  • Evaluates and processes pricing requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Establishes a rigorous pricing process with the intent of streamlining the process and establishing return thresholds.
  • Ensures timely implementation and sound returns of new and revised pricing in coordination with other departments.
