About The Position

Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Commercial Bus Sales Representative for the Kansas City, MO area. For over 50 years, we have been known for our honesty and integrity in our dealings with both our manufacturers and customers. We maintain thousands of vehicles at eight locations in five states and over 300 employees committed to providing safe, comfortable and reliable transportation for our customers around the world. We are looking for a dynamic and personable sales representative to join our team. The Sales Rep will have Automotive experience. This position requires minimum 50% travel within the territory. The remaining time, the position will work from their home.

Requirements

  • Automotive experience
  • Dealership sales experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (or other email programs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Make outside calls for new and existing prospects
  • Maintain focus on total customer satisfaction
  • Provide customers with accurate information in a timely manner
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Conduct business activities and transactions in a highly ethical and moral manner
  • Maintain focus on total customer satisfaction by providing pre and post sales customer support
  • Log all calls and customer information into our CRM program
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions
  • Work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
  • Must be available to communicate with employees, supervisors, customers, vendors, and other persons or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and employer goals.
  • Must maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the Company and with clients, vendors, and/or any other representatives of external organizations, as necessary.
  • Adheres to Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
