About The Position

Serves customers by selling vehicles; meeting customer needs. Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company's products and/or related services. Personally, contacts and secures new business accounts/customers. New Bus: Serves customers by selling buses; meeting customer needs. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources. 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-year Commercial Bus Sales experience required
  • Must possess 2-3 years of experience in equipment or related bus/vehicle sales
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers.
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
  • Willing to travel about sales region
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Prospect for new customers in a manner prescribed by management.
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Maintain Client and prospect databases.
  • Follow department procedures in completing bus paperwork using available system tools.
  • Coordinate service work with the service department.
  • Ability to coordinate financing and insurance with the appropriate departments.
  • Be available for required meetings and other appointed times consistent and required to conduct and maintain sales department business.
  • Meet established performance criteria as determined by sales manager.
  • Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business accounts/customers.
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
