This role combines business development, lending support, portfolio management, and community outreach to support a mission of strengthening businesses, individuals, and communities. In this position, you will proactively develop and manage small business and consumer banking relationships, with a focus on loan production, deposit growth, treasury management services, and overall relationship expansion. You will call on prospects, entrepreneurs, centers of influence (COIs), referral partners, and existing clients to identify opportunities and deliver comprehensive banking solutions designed to earn and deepen the client's entire banking relationship. Working closely with the Market President and commercial banking teams, you will support client onboarding, gather financial information, assist with loan pre-screening and pipeline development, and contribute to strategic market growth initiatives. In addition to business development responsibilities, you will lead and support community development efforts throughout the market. This includes facilitating financial literacy workshops, business education programs, entrepreneurship initiatives, and programming at the South Dallas Banking & Financial Literacy Center. You will cultivate and maintain partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, nonprofit organizations, and Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) while supporting Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) outreach, reporting, and initiatives focused on low-to-moderate-income communities. As a visible representative of the Bank, you will actively participate in community events and help advance the Bank's commitment to economic empowerment and financial education. The role also provides executive and relationship management support to the Market President through coordination of business development activities, reporting, scheduling, documentation, event planning, and partnership management. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building skills, sound business judgment, the ability to identify and assess growth opportunities, and a passion for serving both clients and the community. All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge of and comply with applicable banking regulations, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) requirements.
