About The Position

Cottingham & Butler Claims Services is seeking an experienced Claims Supervisor to join their team. The Claims Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of Auto/Liability Adjusters, overseeing their training and development, and ensuring they provide a high level of service. This role also involves ensuring claims handling is compliant with all applicable statutes, regulations, and company policies. The supervisor will be involved in claims investigations, taking statements, estimating damages, determining liability, denying claims, subrogation, and litigation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial auto liability adjusting experience
• 1-5 years of management experience

Responsibilities

• Supervising a team of Auto/Liability Adjusters
• Coordinating training and development for the claims team
• Ensuring claims handling is compliant with applicable statutes, regulations, and legal requirements
• Ensuring all applicable company procedures and policies are followed
• Investigating claims
• Taking statements
• Estimating damages
• Determining liability
• Denying claims
• Handling subrogation
• Managing litigation
