About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Appliance Technician to service and repair commercial equipment across the New Orleans area. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both hot-side and refrigeration equipment in restaurants and foodservice environments. This is a field-based position requiring strong technical expertise, independence, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused service.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Commercial appliance repair
Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical & electrical systems)
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Proficiency using smartphones/tablets for service documentation
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

3–5+ years of commercial appliance experience
EPA Certification (required or willingness to obtain)
Experience with gas, electric, and steam equipment

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment including: Ovens, fryers, grills, ranges, and steamers
Refrigeration systems and ice machines
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
Install, test, and calibrate equipment
Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage
Manage truck inventory and order necessary parts
Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
