About The Position

Wallace Electric Company, a part of Kelso Industries, is hiring permanent electricians with at least 5+ years of experience in the Commercial and/or Industrial sectors. They are seeking candidates near Heflin, AL for an estimated one-year project. This is a permanent position, not a traveling contractual role. The company is looking for accomplished, talented, and savvy Electricians, specifically for Electrician I and Electrician II roles. Requirements

At least 5+ years of experience in the Commercial and/or Industrial sector(s).
Experience in Wire Pulling.
Knowledgeable of basic voltage colors and panel numbering.
Efficient in Conduit Bending, able to install, bend, and run over 100’ feet of conduit per day without assistance.
Strong understanding of safety procedures, regulatory codes, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
Highly proficient in electrical equipment installation.
Utilizes analytical skills when reviewing/interpreting a drawing on a work order.
Competent in mounting electrical equipment precisely to mirror drawing.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
Works methodically and meticulously.
Keen eye for details.
Strong physical capabilities- lifting equipment, operating machinery, standing for extended periods of time, working in confined spaces, while indoors and/or outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. minimum.
Electrician I: Between 5 to 7 years of practical experience or a combination of practical experience and classroom instruction.
Electrician II: 7+ years of practical experience or a combination of practical experience and classroom instruction.
May have completed vocational/trade/technical school or an apprenticeship-like IEC or a similar accredited apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Installs, repairs, and performs maintenance on Commercial and Industrial electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems.
Performs specialized electrical tasks, including wiring, lighting installations, and upgrading electrical infrastructure.
Performs wire pulling.
Installs, bends, and runs over 100 feet of conduit per day without assistance.
Installs electrical equipment precisely to mirror drawings.
Uses hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment.
Identifies and resolves technical issues.
Communicates clearly to others on what to do and how to execute.
Works methodically and meticulously to prevent error, while ensuring quality and maintaining safety.
Interprets blueprints, including laying out work, slabs, etc.
Performs preventative maintenance.
Performs equipment installation.
Works with electrical systems, including panels, transformers, and motors.
Works independently and potentially trains and supervises others (helpers).
Lays out other electricians.
Conveys information to other electricians/contractors with clarity and transparency.
Provides detailed documentation and ensures safety and compliance on the jobsite.
Crafts a material list for work to be performed.
