About The Position

Breville is seeking an analytical and commercially minded finance professional to join their North America Commercial Finance team. This role will support business performance through financial analysis, customer rebate management, forecasting, month-end processes, and reporting. The position requires close collaboration with Sales, Operations, Accounts Receivable, and Accounting teams. Flexibility to collaborate across regions and time zones is also necessary due to Breville's global presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • Working knowledge of core accounting concepts (debits/credits, P&L and balance sheet relationship)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Experience working with large datasets and BI/reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across business functions
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer goods, wholesale distribution, or retail
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence tools
  • Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT)

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer rebates and allowances in company systems, ensuring accurate accruals, accounting (including maintaining detailed reconciliations), and claims processing.
  • Partner with Sales and Accounts Receivable to support the review and maintenance of customer trading agreements and to ensure appropriate accrual of marketing and promotional investments.
  • Provide financial analysis and commercial insights to support decision-making.
  • Analyze product, brand, category, and customer profitability; evaluate trade spend and promotional ROI; and identify business risks and opportunities.
  • Support month-end close activities including accruals, reclasses, account reconciliations, and GL to reporting system data validation.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, investigate variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods, and synthesize financial data across multiple business units.
  • Assist in annual budget and monthly forecast preparation.
  • Manage high-volume data files loaded into planning systems, dollarize demand forecasts, and contribute to continuous improvement of forecasting and reporting processes.
