About The Position

The Commercial Analyst & Product Manager – Additives is a dual-function individual contributor role responsible for both analytical rigor and product management execution across ADM’s additives portfolio spanning multiple markets. This position supports the Business Unit Director – Additives by translating market data, competitive intelligence, and demand signals into actionable commercial strategies. The role bridges business analysis and product management to optimize portfolio performance, drive profitable growth, and ensure ADM’s additives remain competitively positioned across North America.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in commercial analysis, product management, or a related business role within agriculture, food ingredients, animal nutrition, or specialty chemicals.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Agriculture, Nutrition, Animal Sciences, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex market and financial data and translate insights into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Experience supporting S&OP or demand planning processes preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen; ability to build and maintain business plans including financial targets and margin models.
  • Working knowledge of additives or specialty ingredients within the animal livestock sector strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce required; experience with data visualization tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain market pricing models and conduct competitive benchmarking across the additives portfolio to support commercial decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze competitive market activity by gathering intelligence from regional, global, and third-party sources; translate findings into actionable commercial recommendations and reports.
  • Support demand forecasting and S&OP processes by providing data-driven inputs, identifying trends, and collaborating with supply chain and operations teams to optimize inventory and supply continuity.
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards and performance reports to communicate portfolio health, margin trends, and growth metrics to internal leadership.
  • Prepare financial analyses and scenario models to evaluate pricing actions, new product introductions, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Assist with A/R management and reporting as needed.
  • Support development and execution of product strategy for assigned additives across multiple markets including swine, poultry, ruminants, and adjacent verticals.
  • Oversee product life cycle management and SKU architecture to optimize asset returns; coordinate with sales, technical, production, marketing, and R&D teams to ensure ideal product mix.
  • Manage margin and price structures in collaboration with procurement, formulations, production, marketing, and sales to maximize portfolio returns.
  • Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities; coordinate with regional and global management teams to advance new market or product initiatives.
  • Drive growth and capex projects through structured project management, working cross-functionally with all key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with operations and quality to ensure supply of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Actively participate in toll production evaluations and support negotiations to identify optimal toll partners and operating structures.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to develop and finalize market-facing materials where necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
