About The Position

The Commercial Ag Loan Closer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and evaluating all commercial and agricultural loan requests for compliance with policy. This role involves keying all requested loan data into the loan documentation system, assembling loan documents, and reviewing them for accuracy before forwarding the closing package to loan officers and/or loan assistants. The position also includes providing outstanding internal and external customer service, working on other loan processing projects as assigned, performing other clerical duties, and attending meetings and training sessions as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years banking and/or loan experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational and time-management skills
• Experience in using Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Capable of handling customer and teammate contact situations tactfully and professionally
• General knowledge of bank operations, lending, and information technology
• Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including accurate completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) when applicable, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the USA PATRIOT Act.
• Adhere to Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities to the BSA Department.

• Log commercial and agricultural information on excel spreadsheets and word documents
• Log items in the QC database
