About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Account Executive to drive growth across assigned commercial markets and territories. Based in Toronto and reporting to Sales Leadership, you will focus on developing new business opportunities while managing and expanding relationships with engineering consulting firms, mining companies, contractors, government agencies, and other commercial organizations. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through demonstrations, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and account growth. This role is ideal for a consultative, relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys working with technical customers and helping organizations adopt industry-leading geotechnical software solutions. This is a vacant role with expected total compensation of $90,000 - $110,000 CAD. The work schedule is hybrid, in office 4 days a week (Mondays – Thursdays) and optional work from home on Fridays.

Requirements

  • 4-8+ years of B2B sales, account management, or partnership development experience.
  • Experience selling software, SaaS, technology, engineering solutions, or technical products and services.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and navigate multi-stakeholder purchasing processes.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience engaging technical and non-technical decision-makers alike.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a territory and pipeline independently.
  • Familiarity with engineering software, geotechnical software, mining software, or technical software solutions is a strong asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing network within civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, mining, infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Experience selling into engineering consultancies, mining organizations, contractors, or government agencies.
  • Familiarity with Rocscience software such as Slide2, RS2, RS3, Settle3, RSPile, or related products.
  • Experience managing renewals and subscription-based software licensing programs.
  • Experience working with international customers and multi-country territories.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of Rocscience software solutions across assigned territories
  • Own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting and inbound inquiries through demonstrations, proposal creation, negotiation, and close.
  • Build relationships with engineering consultants, mining companies, contractors, government agencies, infrastructure owners, and other commercial organizations.
  • Develop strategic territory and account plans to expand Rocscience adoption within existing and prospective customers.
  • Promote Rocscience software as a leading solution for geotechnical analysis, design, and risk management.
  • Manage renewals, expansions, upsell opportunities, and long-term customer success within assigned accounts.
  • Represent Rocscience at industry conferences, trade shows, technical seminars, and customer events.
  • Use CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and report performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing, technical, and product teams to support lead generation initiatives and customer feedback programs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, infrastructure projects, mining developments, and emerging geotechnical engineering challenges within the region.
