About The Position

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable an organization to achieve its mission. Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. This role involves working with the DoD to design, build, and transform existing solutions into a reliable network to support critical missions and national defense. The engineer will collaborate with SMEs, customers, users, and stakeholders to understand strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements. Responsibilities include planning for acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components, resolving interoperability issues across platforms, and supporting hardware acquisition. This is an opportunity to leverage experience with DoD Air and Missile Defense systems while broadening network engineering work, contributing to the DoD's goal of open architecture and digital battlespace.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a multi-domain Command and Control (C2) Solution Architect and delivering large-scale C2 solutions to clients
  • Experience with Multi-Domain C2 operations either as active-duty military or military civilian personnel
  • Experience with Military or Intelligence Community compartmented or sensitive activities and planning process, including MDMP, JOPES, or APEX
  • Experience working on Joint Staff or OSD requirements
  • Experience defining, designing, developing, and Fielding C2 solutions
  • Knowledge of Engagement Assessment Techniques, including Integrated Effects and Integrated Assessment
  • Knowledge of associated C2 systems including GCCS-J
  • Knowledge of TBMCS, IBCS, and AOC
  • Knowledge of Theater Level ISR including Multi-Int Correlation & Fusion
  • Knowledge of Communications Systems including SATCOM, Tactical Data Links, and IP Based communications including Wide Area and Local Area Networking
  • Knowledge of National-to-Tactical Systems relationships
  • Knowledge of access and use of Data-at-Rest and In-motion
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience working at Combatant Command level
  • Knowledge of the systems engineering management process and its implementation, as applied to the DoD acquisition processes throughout all life cycle phases
  • Knowledge of DoD policies on systems engineering, integrated product and process development (IPPD), and integrated product team (IPT) management
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), ISR as-a-Service, Cross Domain implementation, Cloud implementations including Enterprise-Public, Private, Hybrid, and on-prem instances, and Applications and Systems Security Assessment & Authorization environments
