Comfort Care Provider - Per Diem
About The Position
At Catholic Health, the primary focus is how communities are treated and served. The organization works collaboratively to provide compassionate care and use evidence-based practices to improve outcomes for every patient, every time. The Comfort Care Provider delivers one-on-one patient observation and support under RN supervision to promote safety, comfort, and quality care. The role also supports patients with mobility, transfers, transportation, comfort measures, and daily care needs, while communicating patient needs and changes in condition to the interdisciplinary care team. This is a per-diem position with a flexible schedule and a minimum commitment of two shifts every two weeks. Weekend and holiday rotations are included. Availability for 12-hour shifts is strongly preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Nursing student preferred.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program preferred.
- Availability for 12-hour shifts strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, one-on-one patient observation and support under RN supervision to promote safety, comfort, and quality care.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, transportation, comfort measures, and daily care needs.
- Communicate patient needs and recognize changes in condition in partnership with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Support individualized care plans.
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and efficient care environment through patient experience rounds, unit support, and additional responsibilities as needed.
