About The Position
Seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to weld and fabricate metal components in pipe systems. The role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques, the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, and attention to weld quality and industry standards. This is an industrial jobsite position in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Candidates must pass a field weld test, drug screens, a physical, a background check, and E-Verify. Journeymen must bring a welding hood, rig, toolbox, and related trade hand tools. The posting lists pay as 30/125.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Pipe Welder or in a similar role.
- Welding certification from a recognized institution.
- Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Must pass a field weld test.
- Proficiency in welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy and metal properties.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well.
- Physical stamina and strength for manual labor, including standing for 10-hour shifts, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights.
- Must pass drug screens, a physical, a background check, and E-Verify.
- Journeymen must bring a welding hood, rig, toolbox, and related trade hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Weld and fabricate metal components in pipe systems.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and industry standards.
- Repair metal structures as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
