A Combination Inspector is an essential member of our team and we invite you to apply and help contribute to CNLV’S growing success! This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 1 vacancy for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Community Services and Engagement department. The eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the eligibility list. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience as a Building, Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing Inspector.
• Possession of International Code Council (ICC) certification in all four inspection areas (building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing) or ICC Combination Inspector from Legacy Codes.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.

Responsibilities

• Inspects commercial building construction, renovation in progress and upon completion to verify continuous compliance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, ordinances and regulations.
• Performs inspections, investigates and analyzes problems and recommends solutions for more complex systems and construction; resolves issues relating to code compliance.
• Employees perform duties which include inspections of commercial buildings in all four areas of construction: structure, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
• Employees assume a high level of responsibility and are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to their assigned area.

Benefits

• The starting hourly pay for this position is $38.50 - $55.00.
• The selected candidate for this position will start at the beginning of the salary range, no exceptions.
• Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement.
