About The Position

GMM Pfaudler US Inc is a leading supplier of highly engineered glass-lined critical equipment and process systems for global energy, chemical and industrial markets. Assembles mechanical/electrical or fabricated parts to produce subassemblies or completed production units. Disassembles, cleans and repairs parts or subassemblies returned from customers. May fabricate, modify or improvise parts. May machine nozzles, grind, lap, or polish glass on assembly units. Inspects and tests subassemblies or completed production units prior to shipment. Use various hand and machine tools. Plan and implement different scaffolding platforms. May be required to trace and dispatch parts to keep the jobs moving. Reads blueprints and follows verbal instructions. Plans proper sequence of operations and does layout work; assist Welders as needed. All levels of this classification are expected to train other employees in assembly techniques at their level of accomplished skill and must be able to consistently maintain housekeeping, safety and quality standards and follow standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in Assembly.
  • Ability to use hand tools and measuring devices
  • Understanding of simple mechanics, lifting devices and material handing
  • Must be able to qualify for certification to operate a tow motor and overhead crane within the business unit.
