About The Position

Potentia Human Resources is partnering with Isherwood Auto Group to find a Collision Repair Estimator for their Duncan, BC location. Isherwood Auto Group, established in 2009, is a family-owned collision repair company focused on quality, customer service, and a supportive work environment. The Collision Repair Estimator will be crucial in supporting customers through the repair process, collaborating with technicians, insurance partners, and the production team. This role is suited for a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual who excels at relationship building, problem-solving, and thrives in a dynamic setting. The responsibilities include preparing accurate estimates, coordinating repairs, managing documentation, and keeping customers informed from assessment to delivery. While collision estimating experience is preferred, the company is willing to train candidates with strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn. Requirements

  • Experience in collision repair estimating, automotive service advising, parts advising, automotive dealerships, automotive repair, or other customer service-focused roles
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, technicians, and insurance representatives
  • Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to problem-solve, take ownership, and demonstrate accountability

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software, systems, and technology quickly
  • Openness to using emerging technology, including AI tools within the estimating process
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to provide a driver’s abstract

  • Experience with Mitchell estimating software, Body Shop Connect, or AutoDex

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, detailed, and insurance-compliant collision repair estimates
  • Communicate professionally with customers, insurance adjusters, and insurance partners throughout the repair process
  • Explain repair recommendations, timelines, costs, and next steps clearly to customers
  • Coordinate repair scheduling and workflow with the production team
  • Manage supplements and obtain additional repair authorizations when required
  • Ensure all repair documentation, photos, and estimate uploads are complete and accurate
  • Review invoices, parts pricing, and vendor information for accuracy
  • Maintain organized customer files and detailed communication notes
  • Participate in daily production meetings and monthly team meetings
  • Support quality control processes and final vehicle delivery
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners and fleet accounts
  • Stay current with estimating processes, technology, and evolving industry practices
