About The Position
Fred Martin Collision Center is seeking a skilled Collision Body Technician for their busy shop in the Greater Akron area. This role is for a high-level technician experienced in metal work, damage diagnosis, and efficient repair processes. The shop offers consistent work and opportunities for growth for productive individuals.
Requirements
- Collision experience across all makes & models
- Strong diagnostic ability — not just a parts changer
- Ability to produce in a flat-rate environment
- Team player who doesn’t slow the shop down
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Full teardown and accurate damage assessment
- Read and work directly from repair estimates — communicate supplements when needed
- Perform repairs to OEM, I-Car, and AllData standards
- Frame repair/replacement, welding, and structural work
- Plastic repair and full body work across all makes & models
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and move efficiently
