Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Summer 2027 semester, beginning in May 2027.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of design configuration, design criteria including FAR Part 25 regulations, internal and external loads, material properties and stress analysis techniques are used to structurally substantiate airframe components.
  • Stress Analysis (Metallics and/or composites)
  • Finite Element Modeling – FEM/FEA (Nastran/Patran/Abaqus/Ansys/others)
  • Fatigue & Damage Tolerance
  • Catia V5 (computer aided design/drafting)
  • Coding/scripting (Matlab, Python, C++)
  • Statics
  • Mechanics of Materials
  • Structural Analysis (preferred)
  • Finite Element Analysis (preferred)
  • Structural Design (preferred)
  • Structural Test Lab (preferred)
  • Passion for airplanes
  • Desire to understand how aircraft are designed and built to optimize performance
  • Interest in structural testing with experience in Structural/Material Labs (Strength and durability testing)
  • Advanced Design Projects in structures (aerospace/car racing/bridge/etc)
