About The Position

Gulfstream, a division of General Dynamics, is offering a Spring 2027 Collegiate Associate Intern position in Stress Engineering at its corporate headquarters in Savannah, Georgia. This program allows students to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges, gain valuable experience, and work alongside skilled professionals in the aerospace industry. The Structural Stress Engineering team is responsible for substantiating the structural integrity of new product development and production design activities through detailed structural analyses and static and fatigue testing of aircraft components, assemblies, and full-scale aircraft. Analysts perform stress analysis and fatigue & damage tolerance evaluations, review engineering drawings, and write reports to ensure compliance with FAA regulations.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Spring 2027 semester, beginning in January 2027.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum duration: 14–16 weeks (spring).
• Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Knowledge of design configuration, design criteria including FAR Part 25 regulations, internal and external loads, material properties and stress analysis techniques.
